High Point HOA Pond Dredge & Shoreline Rehab

Challenge

A large HOA pond serving multiple neighborhoods accumulated over 18 inches of sediment, eroded shorelines, and failing outlet structures. Residents received notices from the City of High Point requiring corrective action within 90 days.

Solution

  • Surveyed sediment depths and mapped access routes with minimal landscape impact
  • Dewatered the pond with bypass pumping and installed turbidity controls
  • Dredged 1,200 cubic yards of material, hauled to an approved disposal site, and regraded forebay
  • Stabilized shorelines using geogrid, riprap toe protection, and native plantings
  • Rebuilt outlet control structure, replaced skimmer assembly, and installed access pads for inspections
  • Provided HOA board with maintenance plan, inspection calendar, and resident communication templates

Results

  • Cleared municipal deficiency list and restored stormwater utility credits for the HOA
  • Improved water quality and amenity value with stabilized banks and native vegetation
  • Delivered long-term maintenance schedule adopted by the HOA’s landscape contractor

Services Provided: Erosion Control & Slope Stabilization, Stormwater Inspections & Compliance, Drainage Infrastructure & Pipe Rehabilitation
